Thank you everyone for your posts. We have/are looking into a Sandals type thing, but I think we'll end up doing a Sandals (Disney theme or something) with the kids so that is a reason to avoid it now - to make it more unique.

Agree the timing is not the best - its really the only time of year we can travel, so we are working hard to make the best of the hopefully small hurricane risk by then. This is at least one other line of thinking in the travel piece - somewhere somewhat "busy" so we can attempt to get in/out on alternate arrangements more easily.

BT Jetsetter was only until April - but will keep an eye out. As other boards have posted, its just so hard, IMHO, to differentiate BT, from Fairmont, from many other Riviera Maya locations.
