Sandals resorts still fall under the AI, nice enough but not comparable with higher end hotels that are typically not AI IMO. I've stayed at Sandals, had the nicest room catagory, with butler (the room was actually pleasant, large bedrooms, big living / dining room etc) but the service / food didn't compare. Having a butler is fine, most people seemed to use them to make restaurant reservations, book tours etc (in my mind any hotel concierge should do those things) but when I asked for things more normally associated (at least in my mind) with a butler (unpack the luggage for example), I was met with blank stares - it seems whilst it may be listed as a 'duty' few people at Sandals actually ask for it to be done. The actual level of 'service' (time it took for things to be done etc) was quite long at times, even allowing for 'island time' it was poor service at times.
