Take a few thumb tacks with you. When you get a room with one of those fascist PIR A/C shut-offs, get about 6 FT of toilet paper and hang it from the ceiling 2-3FT from the sensor. Any air movement will keep it wafting all night and the a/c on.

The one thing I require from a hotel is to keep the room cool. That is what I am paying for. For that reason I definitely avoid hotels with common a/c systems because they are always pinching pennies and running it too hot, then lying with a smile and saying it is comfortable. They think people are stupid.
