As for inflight magazines....forget it. All freelancers with some accredited work behind them. Possible, I'm sure, but you need to build a good portfolio and be persistent.
I have spent hours looking for jobs that have a tagline. "Love airports? We need you to fly three times a day!" Few and far between. Everybody always goes on about...I hate flying and airports...the stress...blah, blah.
Well I'd do it happily. I thought about companion flight assistants, but am weighing up the pro's and cons. For me, it's the frequemcy that's the issue. I need to be on the road, all the time. In this time, I intend to write furiously, when not working for whatever imaginary company will employ me.

Confidential courier, I read somewhere...nope, I'm not 6ft 9, and capable of protecting any sort of valuable item. Documents sure...but I don't even know where to begin with this.

International Courier? Doesn't add up. Cargo goes on cargo planes. I've heard of subsidised flight prices for passengers who carry small parcels as luggage, but it's hardly a money spinner.

Everyone says Flight Crew, but I have difficulty with this one, due to the sexuality connotations it carries and also because it seems quite degrading. I see some of the abuse those guys take and...no thanks.

Pilot, you say. Yeah pay my groundschool and flight training, roughly €80,000. I'm in!

As for the experienced FT'ers out there, no amount of telling me woe stories about family, relationships, etc will put me off. The truth is, I love airports, airplanes, hotels, motels and basically anything that involves long periods of travelling. In fact I don't even like arriving. If I could, everytime I fly I would emerge from arrivals hall, and make my way straight for departures again. Give me airport food, ice-cream stores, fat steaks, cold beers, a cancelled flight, a hot chick at check in, cheesy gift stores, ding dong airport announcements, rattling luggage trolleys, the whoosh of the luggage carousel as it revs up...

So any other suggestions people, for the other journalist fellah and I? I'd gladly carry documents from country to country non-stop. If your company needs someone to go from airport to airport and do something that requires no advanced qualification in that field..(I can type reports and basic stuff), then please let them know. I'll even bring you back a little souvenir from the cheesy gift shop.
if airports and flying is all you care about, why not be an FA? mandatory travel during work, and free-travel on your off-time.

i went from mostly technical & little sales, and traveling half the month
to mostly sales & little technical, and traveling almost none at all. (we have regional guys covering all the territories).

even though the places i went was quite cruddy, i do miss the mental process of just packing-up-and-go.
