It should unless this is not the first account opening bonus you tried to get. In other words if you have already had any type of account opening bonus with Chase in the same calendar, Chase would NOT award a 2nd bonus regardless what different account you opened again.
Or, the coupon code was not correctly attached with the opening bonus portion but I doubt it though because usually it was the other way round.
