This is a very good point. As I head towards the 2MM mark I will remember that tip.

I just did a similar thing, getting a bonus for having done over 125,000 EQP this year. While most scrambled with AA Customer Service in late December to get bonus SWUs ... I did it in January and my 2 SWUs expire 2013 whereas those who got them early got expiration dates of 2012.
