The sign up bonuses seem to get higher and higher, there is no reason to sign up a 25K or 30K CO card.
It's in the T&C's as well.
As far as the possibility of there being a higher mileage bonus at a future date on the credit cards, I took the following into consideration:
1. There's been no new checking/debit offer, which may be comparing apples to oranges, but may also indicate a slowing down of CO offers in general. I think others are agreeing with this.
2. Some of the newer Chase UA offers were not fee free the first year. Yes, I'd probably go for a 50K offer with a $95 fee myself - but I don't find 30K for no fee with a $50 statement credit all that painful.
3. The banker hinted at a possible pending elimination of, or change to, the debit card transactions providing a means to waive checking account fees, much as the DD requirement has changed. I wouldn't be surprised at this. Since the business credit card waives the checking account fee, I thought it beneficial to position myself in advance against that possible loss, while there was still a credit card with a bonus to get!
Hey, I'd be thrilled if a better CO credit card offer came along & some of the FTers who have provided so much useful information to me were able to take advantage of it. I hope it happens! But I'm cool with the 100K miles each we got that day for one hour with the Chase banker, and not overly optimistic that a better deal is on its way.
