The 8 gb is old information that was provided when the E71 was first released as that was the largest microSDHC card available. The E71 processor can easily handle the 16 gb card that I have and was told that it could also do the new 32 gb. I went from an 8gb class 6 to a 16 gb class 10 and was amazed by the 'seat of the pants' speed improvement in the phone. Newegg had the 16 gb card on sale for $29 when I upgraded - mainly upgraded to be able to load all maps which works shockingly well.

Redondo - query the Nokia site or OVI maps and they will list the phones available for the free maps. The Nokia E71 is on sale in many places for reasonable prices considering it is, basically, a lap top PC for your pocket.
