Blogger Bob recommends putting aerosol cans in your luggage in leak proof bags so they don't leak all over the place

Don't think that would have helped if metal pieces were getting embedded in people's shoes

I think at one point or another many of us have seen cans pop, but exploding to the point of spraying metal bits is something you don't consider all that often. I travel with near empty cans of starch to iron shirts with and toss out before coming home (saves from buying travel sized ones) I never would have considered them exploding only popping a seam or something.
