hahaha fair enough... but my point was really just that it seems that, from a business standpoint, Marriott could very easily adjust the promo to reward based on the revenue they receive. They employ that strategy with points for room rates, but not with the bonuses. If I were in all rooms that cost, say, 50/night and the MegaBonus promo earned me more points than I would on a multiple based system, I would be very happy. However, if I were staying in all rooms that cost 300/400/500/etc /night, I would not be very happy that my loyalty isn't really being rewarded (compared to a lower per night spend) and the bonus is really very little (esp when you consider a plat with a premier card would only have to spend 2,500 to get those 50k points normally and you're asking the MR member to stay 20/25 nights to get the same in a bonus...). To reiterate... I recognize that a bonus is just extra, but it was just an idea/thought I was throwing out there.
