I need some advice, and cannot find anything on Delta's website. I have two reservations on the same day, a total of 4 segments all on Delta. Will I be able to check a bag at the first airport and have it check all the way through to my final destination? Also, will I only be charged one checked bag fee (since I do not have status)?

The other possibility is meeting someone at the halfway point (where the reservations meet up) and getting the bag there and checking it there. I am worried however about schedule delays, as this would add time to the process of exiting security, checking the bag, and reclearing security.
