The lounge at JFK is shared between many, many airlines and can be quite crowded. It has nice views and some nice seating areas, not sure if they still have a quiet room with lovely massage seats. The food/beverage offerings are certainly better than any US airline domestic lounge. The showers are basic, they do the trick but I find the showers in some American Airlines Clubs, or certainly LH Senator Lounges to be much nicer. The First Class section, which you only have access to as a HON/First Class passenger is quite small and also pretty basic. Certainly this lounge does not compare to LH beautiful offering in Terminal 1. Also, it is before security. There may well be chocolates and a few basic Swiss wines, I cant recall, but don't picture something along the lines of a BA Terraces wine bar, think more like a basic European business class lounge with some more food items and a couple of showers. I wouldn't want to spend more than an hour or so there.
