To make a fair comparison you must compare the Imperial floors at the Cavalieri with the executive floors and the Imperial Lounge with the executive lounges of the above mentioned Conrads.
With this element of comparison the Cavalieri is still the winner.
You got to lay off the grappa.
I have stayed at the Cavalieri close to ten times and have had stayed on the Imperial floor the last six stays with Imperial lounge access.
The Conrad Tokyo beats the crap out of the Cavalieri in just about every facet I can think of:
a) Better view.
b) Better public bars and piano lounge.
c) Much better/decorated modern and larger rooms.
d) Much better entertainment systems TV etc in rooms.
e) Better A/C and heating systems.
f) Far, far, far, far better bathrooms and toileteries.
g) More courteous staff.
h) Better lounge in terms of food and definitely alcohol selection.
i) The Cavalieri is not particularly attractive from outside but I will give
the grounds are nice (Conrad has no grounds)
Why you even get a little rubber ducky and some neat little Conrad bears.
La Pergola is nice but it not that much better than the Conrads Gordon Ramsey.
I wont bother to mention access to public transportation.
But have you ever stayed at the Cavalieri and had to wait for over an hour for a taxi?... I have.. twice.
