15K Mile upgrades also show up on the list (if waitlisted for upgrade). I was recently taking a trip with my wife, and used 15K miles for her and she showed up on the list (and got the upgrade)...

Myself as a Plat ended up #37 on the list (9 people showed as getting an upgrade). Then again, it was the Saturday before thanksgiving IAH-EWR.
