Lets just say, I respectfully disagree. On any given flight there are cell phones invariably left in in on position. So I do not see anything wrong with it.

What I find offensive is people start getting up and opening bins even before the plane has reached its parking position. This appears to be unique to India. I've not seen it outside of India but it may happen frequently there as well. Just today a pax across from in in J got up and opened the bin before the plane reached the apron.
