Just got off 9w351 captain announced DGCA has vacated order on prohibiting cell phone usage on airplanes and they can now be used once the plane exits the runway on landing. No use allowed while take offs.
I normally start using my bb way before wheels down any way so doesn't matter much but IT is the only airline where the hotties frowned on cell ph usuage. Hopefully this will shut them up.
IMHO, even 9W and other airlines frown on this but YMMV.. BUT, I too frown and find it quite funny when even before the plane's landed ppl start calling up their folks and saying ''i hv landed, still in the plane'' or start talking business with others.. it shows how addicted we hv become to it that we cannot wait 10 mins even though its not allowed there..AFAIK, the earlier rule was to keep mobiles switched off from them time the airplane door closed till it re-pened and I am speaking abt instances from those periods..
Hope u didnt type this while still in the air just bfore landing
