Multi page threads - order of display

Some threads are becoming quite long, and require multiple pages. I think the longest one I have seen was 9 pages long.

I suspect that most people are like me. They check FT regularly, and when they see a new thread that interests them, they begin to follow it. But once it become longer that 1 page, you still see the first page when you click on the thread title. By this time, the first page is usually "old news," and what most of us are interested in the "new news."

That being the case, what's the likelyhood of being able to display the last page first? This would let us get right to the new stuff quickly.

(There is a problem with this suggestion, however. That is, if the thread has recently spanned a page break, then going to the last page might result in someone missing a post or two, on the second to last page. BUT, if you were able to make the last page always a "full page" and the first "old news" page the partial page, the problem should be minimized.)

Thanks,
