Yes this is a server problem. We've had a considerable amount of double posts and we've discovered, in our testing, that these sorts of errors are the main cause of a lot of the double posts that we are getting.

Also the slowness of the server machine causes the same thing. Push the "Submit Reply" button at the bottom here and wait until the server finishes the transaction and you shouldn't get as many of the multiple posts.
