Another correction--it's the START date of the challenge that determines the membership length.
If you START the challenge on or before June 16 of year N and you complete the challenge, your status runs through Feb. of N + 1.
If you START the challenge on or after July 1 of year N and you complete the challenge, your status runs through Feb. of N + 2.
I learned this the hard way when I completed a challenge in early July one year--a challenge I had started on April 16. My status was only good through Feb. of the following year.
