Just to update. We found great little places to drink all over the Altstadt. Totally impressed with Nurnberg although we never even got all the way up to the castle or any of the other must see places(weather was absolutely dire even for a Canadian
). Definitely going to go back and spend a couple of days there with a side trip to Bamberg in the near future.
Good choice. Bamberg is great for beer as well with 10 different breweries still active in the city. ^
