Why would a skirt be grounds for an additional search? Do you remember what reasons the TSOs gave for this policy? The only thing I can think of is that it would be easier to light an underwear bomb.... So the TSA is singling out a huge percentage of the population on the basis of the extremely suspicious activity of wearing a skirt? Actually, this seems really discriminatory. More screening of women on the basis that they are female.
