I wouldn't say you upgraded for nothing. Surely the comfy seat, three course meal on real crockery and not to mention the Moet you seem to have partaken of quite liberally, are worth something?

FWIW I've never had IFE go down on any LH Emirates flight in six years of flying with them.

I'm also booked on the A380 in J in January for the first time and mightily looking forward to it
