Q: Simple mobile prepaid GSM - how long usable?

Hi,

I am interested in the simple mobile prepaid GSM for several visits to the u.s. per year. I cannot really figure out their plans, so I hope you can answer my questions.

In the FAQ it says:
“What happens if a customer doesn’t add funds within 30 days? If the balance remains at $0 for more than 30 days, the mobile number will be deactivated and the customer will lose their mobile number.”

If I get myself a simple mobile simcard, activate it i.e. November 1st my plan will run out with the end of November.

1.) Will I be able to “reactivate” my simcard in February by recharging $ 40? I am aware of the fact, that my mobile number will be lost as it states in your faq, but will I be able to re-use the simcard with a new number by buying a new plan?

2.) Could I avoid the deactivation by simply depositing $ 10 via credit card at the beginning of December to keep my card alive and then top up i.e. $ 30 when I want to active a new flatrate plan?

3.) On http://www.mysimplemobile.com/Produc...ReUpCards.aspx i can find "Purchase minutes" do I understand it correctly that I can also use a simple mobile prepaid without activation a flatrate plan? How long are these minutes valid and how much is a domestic call? I can't find this information on their website!

Simple mobile would be great for me as I just need some little amount of minutes for business trips and would use the prepaid with a flatrate plan for holidays where a flatrate would make sense.

Thank you for your help in advance,
