I already have all my travel booked until the end of the year. According to the Business ExtrAA site I can contact them to have the account added to an existing reservation.
Any thoughts on AA honoring the 5,000 mile offer if I do this?
It should be fine. Prior to the present system where you could embed the BE number in your account for automatic entry into reservations, it had to be done manually, and was often forgotten, requiring us to call BE to have the number attached to existing reservations. Usually the points would then end up crediting fine.
