Obviously, the pros are staying in a supposedly wonderful hotel vs. an "ok" one. The cons are- although its a honeymoon, we are going to be out and about in the city a lot, thus I'm not really sure how much we'll use the hotel. I'm only a HH Silver, so I wont get access to the lounge (crappy or not).
Urgghhh decisions, decisions.....
If you are not HH Gold or Diamond, I wouldn't recommend staying at this property. Lounges or not, you won't be entitled to the free breakfast which is worth 37 Euro per person up to 2 people per room and the buffet is quite fancy and substantial.
On top of that, this hotel charges everything, ranging from pool, sauna, spa, jacuzzi, even sun bed on outdoor lounge chair has a charge. In a nutshell, they try to charge everything and these facilities are another 30+ some Euros
per person per day if you can't get it for free. Also, internet is not free unless you are HH Gold or Diamond.
Aside from that, it's a beautiful hotel, lots of artwork and paintings, like a real museum on its own. Exterior is not as nice as some other properties I have been to but the interior is among the best. Service level is very high, but again, true for VIP guests with a dedicated VIP desk and a smart group of concierges who will check out who you are before they give you an answer and provide high service standards.
