Is outdoor jogging possible in the area of the Cavalieri? In particular, can I jog to one of the tourist attractions and back (eg. Vatican)? I can handle mild-moderate hills with a slower jog. 5km round trip is fine. 10km would be a little long, but do-able. I can walk any steep hills if I have to. I'm looking at the 3D view in Google, and it looks do-able if I stay on the hill going south to the Vatican.
Sorry I didn't post sooner, I just saw this. I run regularly, normally 10km. While you probably CAN run to the Vatican, you'll be taking your life in your hands due to the traffic. That switchback road you see on Google has NO shoulder, no sidewalk, and people drive like, well, Italians!

It was scary. If you're 'sure of foot', if you head right out the gate and then into the hilltop park just down the road, there's a switchbacked path down the front side of that (big) hill, but it's a bit rocky. And no tourist attractions, but shady, cool and pleasant. The other good place to run was along the river (bike path), but you have to get down there first.
