I assume you mean Termini - although not as central, having stayed in both locations, I like the location of the Cavalieri much, much, much better than the Termini area. I found the Termini area to be very grimy (at best!) and busy. The Cavalieri's location was a wonderful respite from the city but still convenient enough (we took the city bus a lot, the hotel shuttle once, and walked down to the Metro at other times) to the sites.

I loved the Cavalieri, so I would say go for it!
