Didn't think I needed to explain why....

I don't see where she says she is getting "free nights." She is asking about her elite nights. I just don't see why it matters that much when they arrive in your MR account.
I didn't think I needed to go into great detail as to WHY I wanted to know (to those that said, "why does it matter"?).

Well, it does matter. It is getting close to the end of the Calendar Year. I am very close between Gold and Platinum. If I'm really going to step up my efforts in an attempt to achieve Platinum based on the nights I earn via the MR Visa, I need to have a couple questions answered.

The first question I had was if I charged $3,000 on December 31, 2010 (and that is actually when the charge posted), would that count toward THIS calendar year (because it wouldn't show up as due until 2011 because my account closes around the 13th of every month). She said it was a very good question and she had to get back to me. She did as promised and said she found out that because it would not show up as due until 2011, even though the charge was made in 2010, it would NOT count toward status in 2010. Good to know as I am not going to make a rather large 16 night Bejing cruise payment earlier than I had wanted in order to get the days. I'm going to be so close to Platinum that I want to do everything I can to watch this. I can't tell you how many threads I read where people are so bummed or irritated with not asking more questions or searching out answers to preclude some of these "oops...darn, I wish I knew that" situations.

I have not been watching this at all (when days post from MR). I can't even seem to find out when they have posted in the past--not even from my MR account history.

I want to know when these post and literally watch to determine if I will make it under the wire and since it is not something I had been doing (didn't are before--now I do), I merely wanted to know how long it typically takes to post so I can monitor how much more I need to spend and when I need to spend it by.

I thought it was a bit odd that I have not seen the days and I thought it would be a relatively quick question/answer so I don't bother calling VISA/Marriott until I have to.
