My mother in law travelled to La Plata last week to see her dentist. She is having four implants and the total cost will be in the region of AR$18,000. I have no idea how that compares to other countries but it doesn't seem all that inexpensive to me.
As for standards......in the town where I stay it worries me that almost everyone I know would rather travel to Buenos Aires to see a dentist than consult one here.
