Quite a difference between North and South, cuisine-wise. Again, it would have taken more than a week to totally experience Berlin, but I had to settle for 4 nights and 3 days.
The difference in driving habits was a pleasant surprise - no meatheads hanging out in the fast lane doing barely over the speed limit. Respect for the principle that there may be someone else on the road either more skilled (or in a bigger hurry). Even the people running at 150+ klicks moved right over once they finished passing. Respect for others on the road is unheard of here.
People polite and courteous to a level never seen here in the states.
And a true devotion to maintaining heritage. Saw lots of buildings that were devastated in WW2, painstakingly restored to where one wouldn't know anything had happened if it was not pointed out.
I could write volumes - but this will do for now.
thanks for taking the time!
