I completley agree with there being little incentive to fly once you have reached the 50'000 mile tier. That said, with 231'520 Tier miles this year, I guess I carried on!
I have not really been looking at the difference in miles, from the previous 9 years of being gold.
One thing i do like (not wanting to sound elietist) is the amount of complaints we hear from people not being able to acheive silver or gold as easy as they did last year.
It does make the lack of an extra teir slighly more acceptable.
I have received more OP-Ups this year than any other year so far (other than 2001 when i was bumped on almost every flight, but there was only a small handful of Golds at the time)
I have no complaints about the new program!
