This is interline world... Examples are below:
1) Codesharing:
PAR-ROM flight, operated by AF but coded as AZ and governed by AZ fare. The booking class is determined by AZ fare (the fare's RBD chart 1; RBD chart 2 is irrelevant here).
2) Interline
MOW-AZ-ROM-DL-NYC. The fare is filed by DL but allows to have AZ-coded segments. RBD chart 1 information only applies to ROM-NYC segment which is DL coded. To find out what booking class should be used for AZ segment you go to RBD chart 2.
