I'm sure the cell phone companies are all about this idea. Lots of money made in extending credit, and less competition for this application as there are so few cell phone companies. However, even if they don't want to or not set up to extend the credit, they can make a bundle off of processing transactions. Could be a big money maker without too much tweaking to their system. They are already billing millions of customers monthly and all the important information on file. I'm overly simplifying it but could be a pretty big revenue generator for the phone companies.
