Silicon Valley, as bad as it is, is good compared to Stockholm.
On the Grand -- I wonder if there isn't some American bias at this place. I have had that issue in Switzerland. At a lake-front Geneva hotel, I was upgraded to a dark dismal cave in the back with a dumpster view. The hotel was at 10% occupancy.

What, you mean the Swedes and the Swiss discriminate against Americans? I must admit that I have never seen that happen, but then I am from Europe. Generally, I have noticed that North American guests seem to have some of the best suites in European hotels, but perhaps that is due to them having good travel advisors.
