Backscatter is being used in terminal 2 (Delta / Air Canada). There is a small sign explaining the opt out just before you walk into the wtmd/backscatter area. I went towards the Metal Detector instead and they were perfectly fine with it. Looked to be sending about half the people toward the backscatter machine.

The backscatter process looked to be very timeconsuming and the way they had it positioned limited access to the end of the baggage scanner, creating an unnecessary bottleneck.

Not a positive development.
