I will get a one night category 1-5 cert with my marriott visa when I hit my anniversary date in a few months. I'd like to make a reservation now, though, to ensure availability, but don't want to use points. Suppose I make a rewards reservation now at a cat 5 for December? Once I get the visa cert desposited to my account, can I change the reservation over to the cert and have the 25k points redeposited to my account?
