Fidelity or Schwab?

I'm in need of a new rewards card since my Citi Amex bonus points are going away and they are not going to waive the annual fee.

Is the Schwab card still even available to new customers?

Is it significantly better than the Fidelity 2% card?

For the Fidelity card, I can just open up a MySmartCash account with a low starting balance, have Fidelity convert the rewards points to cash back which transfers to the MySmartCash account and then I can take it out any time?

Is that pretty much it?

Any negatives for this card?

Do they tax the rewards that go into the MySmartCash account or only the interest on the rewards?

Any other cards? I'm pretty much looking for either maximum cashback or points that have "usable" rewards that will get me 100 points to the $1. Annual fee is ok if the extra points make it worthwhile.

Airline/Hotel miles/points doesn't really interest me that much.

Thanks!
