The 'industrial' look can and does work in many commercial buildings. There are architects who specialize in it, and tradesmen who install it beautifully, but at BKK it looks much more like Mutt and Jeff went to Home Depot for the conduit and fittings then installed it after a 30 pack of Bud. (or Chang) As a construction project manager, no doubt I notice things the average flyer doesn't, and to me it is the ugliest, most careless installation of utilities I've ever seen in any new 'state of the art' building. It's just my pet peeve, as there is no shortage of other more flyer-centric issues at Suvarnabhumi.
