I had been holding out on a renewal so I could qualify for miles toward status if they had such a promo later in the year that would put me over the top in my requal for CP. But thanks to the HSJ promo I will hit CP that way and thanks to this new perk of the AMEX I will get my club membership as well. Sometimes life makes up for all of the times it dumps on you I guess.
