I think most Clevelander's are getting past his leaving and understand the bidness aspect of the game. But as many in the media are so well stating, the way he and his camp handled this entire circus is disgusting and, to many, a complete slap in the face. I refuse to believe that he only made his decision yesterday - this has been in the works since the Olympics. This is exactly why I pretended that I knew of no event and would not watch it. There were months of man hours of legal, media advising, ad agency, real estate, and tax planning behind this little show.
My sympathy is with the
basketball fans of CLE, but not with the Cavs, the Heat, or anything that is NBA. I'm a hoops fan, too, but it stops at March Madness (which, itself, has been pushed into April by media and sponsorship concerns).
If I want to see bored millionaires shoving each other around, I'll go to a stockholders' meeting.
