There are a number of proxies in the US open to everyone, some free, some paid. Not necessarily any logging in required. Most seem to have performance/reliability issues, but they are easiest.
For reliability, installing a proxy on a home machine works better. (e.g. Squid on a linux box. Obviously, you need to protect it from others using it. One simple way is to only allow set IP addresses and to have a way to configure that remotely.)
