So then my question has to be - is it REALLY worth the hassle of unloading, unpacking, etc for one night - especially after such a long drive? There are plenty of really reasonable breakfast places in AVL.....

The answer is different for everyone of course, but I HATE to move around on such a short stay - for the time lost, too. For me, it has to be a substantial savings to make it worthwhile.
