Fair! I use my own MR points mostly for transfering to BMI. First Class flights just make hoildays that bit more entertaining - lets hope they don't move in to M&M. BMI Amex is a good idea - 2 points/£1 would be 240,000/year if you spend enough to qualify for cent.... hmmm... Should just have BMI Amex and BA Amex to spread the love and build up credit rating.
Remember that the new Amex Gold in the UK offers 2 MR points per £1 on all travel (airline, hotel, train, car hire) and overseas transactions, which is as good as the BMI Amex with the added flexibility of being able to move the points to BMI or somewhere else if/when BMI ceases to exist in its current form.
