He's not doing whatever he can to get any real traction on this issue. It seems to me he's doing whatever he can to placate one vocal (or potentially vocal) minority by making vocal statements critical of the TSA but taking little to no action that could upset another vocal (or potentially vocal) minority that feels the TSA needs more and more power.
