Couldn't have said it better. By definition a "whoever is first in line will be first to board" approach will be faster than priority boarding, just as a no priority luggage policy would be "more efficient".

Regarding the A340 refit, suggesting to create a separate thread is not helpful as long as LX refuses for whatever obscure reasons to share the schedule with us.
