That's just crass. No respectable high-end sushi joint would have a "tip jar" by the sushi bar.
I have seen it before.....high end sushi places no, but there are many good sushi places that are not national chain or high end places. They still provide quality and innovation and quite frankly are delicious!
The tip jar doesn't bother me.
