Im sorry to have to say that I could not disagree with you more... Las Lilas is a horrible tourist trap, tremendously overpriced and 200% non authentic to what Argentina 'means' on the subject matter of grilled meats.

I know Frommers is a long standing publication and some of their guides are of good use... but when it comes to Las Lilas, what they write is pure nonsense.

The only reason to go to Las Lilas is if you have to host a Corporate Lunch or Dinner, your employer is paying (and doesnt mind wasting $$), and you are hosting foreigners that are "worried" about moving very far away from their 5 Star Hotel... usually its the type of high-level execs. that before coming down to Argentina get briefed by Kroll Associates or some other corporate security firm operated by ex Mossad & CIA operatives, and have their company hire armed escorts and armoured cars, etc. etc.....

I say again... a big to Las Lilas.
