Good decision. 5 or 6 days is too short a time for island hopping. Pick up a copy of

Get a car and drive up to the north shore and back through the middle of the island one day. Visit Chinatown & other parts of Honolulu another day. Some people really like the show at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Play on the beach with the family every day!!
