For those wondering why it's so quiet on the thread lately, it's because nobody is sure about what stage of the game we're at.
The PM has presented his roadmap to peace, announcing a possible election in November. I remember hearing the Red shirts demanding amnesty from criminal charges be included, but don't know if this is the only stumbling block to thier support of the plan, or if the government has agreed to this. Both Red and Yellow shirts have hinted to replace the PM if he can't negotiate an agreement, but this seems unlikely because he's presented a peaceful option.
The PMs days are numbered, not becuase of this situation, more because of that's the way things are in this country. But, there are few, if any, strong members to succeed him. The change will occur to safe face and/or avoid issues.
I don't get much substance from the 'Bangkok Post', or 'The Nation', or its website 'ThaiVisa.com'.... Those that can watch the stream will notice a fair, but limited scope view on Thai Asean News' site
