After having time to think about the whole devaluation revealed last week... I have to agree I am not bothered by it at all. I am also an HHonors Diamond and with over 600K HHonors points in my account I was hit hard by their devaluation.

I am still fuming over it... it was insulting the way they not only recategorized all their properties, they increased the points required for each category at the same time. If it was one or the other, I would have been fine with it... but doing both at once was too much.

Unfortunately, as a HGVC owner (which I still love), I am kind of a "captive" member of the HHonors program, so I am stuck with them.

Hyatt's handling of the same issue was entirely reasonable, and as many have pointed out even expected. Besides... with all the FFN promos going on I can't even remember when I had to give up any points for an actual award stay anyway! lol

In regards to the title of this thread... I can offer Hyatt Gold Passport my commitment to stay.
